I. Tragedies: lost job, divorce, lost friends, money problems, death

II. Using verses, God can give you:

A. Assurance of His Sovereignty – God is in control

Isaiah 55:8-9; Jeremiah 29:11

B. Peace – comfort

Philippians 4:7-8; II Corinthians 12:9; John 16:33

C. Joy – focus on God and all He has done

John 15:11; Matthew 25:21, 23; Philippians 4:4

D. Praise – thanking Him

Psalm 34:1; Psalm 100:4; Deuteronomy 31:6

Praise God for what He has done for you

E. Perseverance – keep going, don’t stop, don’t quit

I Peter 5:10; Galatians 6:9

III. Life has many choices I Thessalonians 4:13
